Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to marry his long-time partner, Georgina Rodríguez, this weekend.
According to multiple reports, the couple will exchange vows on Saturday, August 8, in Funchal, the capital of Portugal’s Madeira Island, where Ronaldo spent his childhood. However, as of now, neither Ronaldo nor Rodríguez has officially confirmed the wedding details.
The couple, who announced their engagement nearly a year ago, are said to have secured a cathedral in Funchal for the ceremony and reserved the luxurious Savoy Palace Hotel for the wedding reception.
According to reports, guests staying at the hotel were informed that two floors and several bar areas would be unavailable on Friday and Saturday due to the private event.
Earlier speculation had suggested the pair would marry in Sintra, Portugal, on August 1, but those claims were later dismissed.
