Nigerian music promoter and socialite Sam Larry has spoken publicly for the first time after surviving a road accident along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway in Lagos State that claimed the life of his bouncer.
Speaking in a live video from his hospital bed, Sam Larry said he is recovering and expects to be discharged soon but will temporarily rely on a wheelchair because he is unable to walk.

Providing an update on his condition, the music promoter expressed gratitude for surviving the crash.
“I’m doing well. I’m expected to be discharged from the hospital soon. The only issue I’m facing right now is that I can’t walk, so I’ll be using a wheelchair, and God knows till when.
“But, I’m grateful to be alive.”
Addresses online speculation
Sam Larry also responded to reactions that followed news of the accident, saying he had seen negative comments and speculation circulating online.
He maintained that God knows the truth and insisted that he is innocent.
“I’ve seen a lot of negative speculation surrounding this accident. The God I serve knows the truth; I am innocent.”

While the promoter survived and is receiving treatment, his bouncer died in the crash.
