You are a tenant in Aso Rock; stop behaving like an emperor – Labour leader knocks Tinubu

Ekiti EFCC Zonal Office will help eradicate economic, financial crimes in Nigeria – Tinubu

A labour leader and National Coordinator of the All Workers Convergence (AWC), Comrade Andrew Emelieze, has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, arguing that current economic and security conditions have increased pressure on Nigerians.

In a statement released on Sunday, Emelieze said many citizens are facing difficult living conditions and urged the President to reassess government policies and leadership priorities.

According to him, concerns over the rising cost of living, insecurity and broader social challenges have contributed to growing public dissatisfaction.

The labour leader claimed that issues including kidnapping, banditry and other forms of violent crime continue to affect daily life across parts of the country. He further argued that government policies have not sufficiently eased the burden on citizens.

Emelieze also encouraged the President to reflect on public perception and the long-term legacy of his administration.

In his remarks, he criticised what he described as an increasingly centralised style of governance and urged the President to remain responsive to public concerns.

“The summary of it all is that governance under your leadership has been hazardous and a serious threat to our democracy,” Emelieze said, while also calling for policy adjustments and stronger engagement with citizens.

He further stated that elected office is temporary and advised leaders to govern with accountability and public trust in mind.

The labour leader also referenced public criticism expressed online and argued that the administration should pay closer attention to citizen sentiment.

His comments represent the position of the All Workers Convergence and come amid continued public debate over economic reforms, security challenges and governance under the current administration.

No response from the Presidency was included in the source material at the time of reporting.
