The incident occurred on Wednesday morning in the Ologuneru area of Ibadan metropolis when the victims were reportedly on their way to school.
Victims Targeted During School Run
According to sources familiar with the incident, the woman — identified as Adelabu’s younger sister — was driving her twin children to school when the attackers struck.
The gunmen reportedly intercepted the vehicle, forcefully abducted all three occupants, and whisked them away to an unknown location.
The sudden attack has left residents of the area in shock, as families and community members expressed concern over rising insecurity in parts of Ibadan.
Security Agencies React
When contacted, the spokesperson of the Oyo State Police Command, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, said he had not yet received full details of the incident at the time of reporting.
He added that inquiries would be made and further updates provided once verified information becomes available.
